SLUMDOG Brouhaha: DGA Awards

OK, so, last night the Directors Guild of America (the DGA) named Danny Boyle the Best Director of 2008.  Furthermore, the DGA listed the members of “his team” on their website, naming the Unit Production Manager, First Assistant Director, Second Assistant Director, and Second Second Assistant Director.  Bravo!  But where is the credited Co-Director?  Oops, she’s still “outstanding in the field…”

     That’s right, folks.  The DGA apparently doesn’t recognize the title “Co-Director,” so instead of finding a way to reward Loveleen Tandan’s contributions to this extraordinary “Cinderella Story,” they’ve decided to simply ignore her.

Are YOU really going to sit by & simply watch while this happens???
