Actress/Playwright Danai Gurira is luminous in the central role, but she is also too old to be who she is supposed to be without a backstory to anchor her.
Alas, the great cinematography (by Bradford Young), just by itself, only get us so far. (JLH: 3.5/5)

Therefore, individually & collectively, these two terrific visual artists are capturing beautiful images of dark black skin on film, and thereby helping to transform the marketing of films starring actors with dark black skin. BRAVO 🙂
