Huge thanks to Amanda Loos (Assistant Professor at Chicago’s Harold Washington College & Coordinator of Fine Arts/Cinema Studies in the Humanities Department) for inviting me back for Women’s History Month again this year. How wonderful to be introduced with the words: “Back by Popular Demand!” Once again, HWC had a superlative set of Women’s History Month’s programs & it was indeed an honor to be include on the schedule (see attached).
My presentation was similar to the one I did in Elgin earlier in the month, but this time I had almost three hours, so I was able to show clips from many wonderful films all of which I preferred over most of the films nominated for Oscars in 2008. Who says women aren’t writing & directing fabulous films?!? Bah Humbug!!!
